Personal and Daily Living Support

Support with daily personal care to help veterans maintain comfort, dignity, and independence at home.

About Personal and Daily Living Support Service

Daily personal care can become more challenging due to age, illness, or reduced mobility. Personal and daily living support provides practical assistance with everyday activities, helping veterans maintain their comfort, independence, and dignity at home.

At Valour Health Services, our community nurses offer respectful and professional support with personal care tasks that have a clinical need. We understand that these services are sensitive in nature, and we approach every interaction with compassion, discretion, and respect.

By assisting with daily routines, our team helps reduce the risk of injury, supports overall wellbeing, and allows veterans to remain safely in their own homes while receiving the care they need.

Who is this service for?

Veterans who require assistance with daily personal care activities
Individuals with reduced mobility or physical limitations
Veterans recovering from illness or medical treatment
Individuals who need support maintaining hygiene and personal wellbeing
Veterans who may be at risk of falls or injury during daily activities

Accessing This Service Through DVA

Community nursing assessments may be available to eligible veterans through the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) Community Nursing Program. In most cases, a referral from a General Practitioner (GP) or healthcare professional is required before services can begin. Once a referral is received, our nursing team will arrange an assessment to determine the type and level of care required. If you are unsure about eligibility or how to begin the referral process, our team at Valour Health Services is happy to provide guidance and assistance.
